Bhavin is an architect, and an educator. He is the founder of 'The Design Toolbox', an Ahmedabad based architectural firm and an Academic Associate at the Faculty of Architecture at CEPT University. Bhavin has worked on design projects that include residences, office spaces and factory sheds. Apart from his engagement with the design of buildings, Bhavin has been actively involved in architectural research. He was a part of the research and curation team for an exhibition on 'The Step-wells of Ahmedabad'. His areas of interest include history and theory of architecture and design language. It's his second year as an instructor at the ASSET Summer Programme.
Ramya Ramesh is a talented architect from CEPT University. She completed her Masters (MSc. in Building and Urban Design in Development) at the Bartlett Development Planning Unit, University College London. She has also worked as an architect at Biome Environmental Solutions in Bangalore for two years. She is currently a faculty member at CEPT University in Ahmedabad.
Jerry has an M.A. in Mathematics and an M.A.T. in Math Education, and is the author of a series of books "Advanced Common Core Math Explorations". He has 20 years of experience in teaching talented math students, and seven years of professional development and coaching experience. Jerry is based in Colorado. Sugat is a doctoral student at Northwestern University, USA in the Learning Sciences program. Prior to joining the program, he had been working as a content developer in a multinational educational technology firm. Sugat, holds a Masters in Biology from National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bangalore. He has published his work in several peer-reviewed journals and was part of a team that won a Gold Medal at the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston. It's his second time as an instructor at ASSET Summer Programme.
Prabhu has had a lifelong love affair with Physics, which started as a youngster when he read a book on space rocketry and fell deeply in love with the stars, the galaxies and the Universe. After completing his Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, he worked on research projects for over 15 years in leading universities and companies in USA, Singapore, and India. His work contributed to the development of some of the tiniest of components that go into today's smartphones. Currently, Prabhu teaches science to undergraduate students at a college in Bangalore. He is very passionate about languages, poetry and learning Sanskrit. He loves playing chess, table tennis, running, doing yoga and is an ardent advocate of hands on learning.
Aparna is an executive coach and counsellor. She helps young adults deal with their anxieties and fears enabling them to achieve their full potential. Her deep knowledge of the human behaviour was further honed by her extensive training with the Indian Society for Applied Behavioural Sciences (ISABS). She is a Master Practitioner in NLP, Certified Practitioner of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an Advanced Practitioner of Bach Flower Remedies and an international "Heal Your Life" Workshop Leader based on Louise Hay's philosophy. She has more than 25 years of experience working with reputed MNCs handling diverse portfolios in HR. Her specialty lies in helping high potential employees overcome their self-management and relationship management issues to become better leaders.
Dhruv is a researcher turned entrepreneur. He is a computer scientist by certificate, mathematician by hobby, a design thinker by training and strong believer of the empathy-driven approach. Influenced by technologies like Artificial Neural Networks, Fuzzy Inference Systems, Digital Image processing, Computer Vision and Digital Data Hiding, he has been developing Soft Computing techniques for various applications in various domains including digital data hiding, computer vision, behavioral sciences and inference making. His love towards mathematics has always encouraged him to go for the solutions of open-ended problems, and he has worked towards an enhanced set theory for quite some time. He is also enthusiastically working to gain a hold on Web3.0, while developing memory optimized BlockChain architecture. Dhruv's interpersonal skills have allowed him to build a large network of people and organizations that he always tries to assist with his belief in the concept of CoRise. Shivraj studied Jewelry Design & Manufacture along with Diamond Grading and Gemology basics at The Indian Diamond Institute, Surat where he received the Presidents Gold Medal for Excellence in the field of Jewelry Design. After training with Intergold - One of India's Premier Jewelry Companies, he pursued a stint as Luxury Jewelry Salon Manager on-board International cruise ships, managing their fine jewelry department.
Shiv Tantra Creations, his entrepreneurship adventure, manufactures a wide array of handcrafted products. Shiv is also associated with various NGO's where he teaches making jewelry, handicrafts, and bamboo articles. These sessions involve empowering people from rural and tribal areas by incorporating the basic skills of design thinking to their local crafts. Anupama worked in various positions in leading MNCs including Genpact Research & Services and Symphony Teleca Corporation and has demonstrated experience in building, managing and leading data science teams and evangelizing advanced analytics across the organization.

Rohith is an aeronautical engineer from MV Jayaraman College of Engineering, Bangalore. He has been associated with Jed-I (an organization that shares the joy of engineering with young engineers) for 5 years. He specializes in the design and building of Micro Aerial Vehicles, the design of control algorithms for MAVs, mechanisms and computer vision. He also has a passion towards flying RC airplanes. Rohith runs an NGO named Athira Edutech Foundation. Athira aims to educate rural children about science and technology. His hobbies include watching movies, reading interesting articles and playing table tennis.
Ashik is an electronics and communication engineer from Srinivasa Institute of Technology, Mangalore. He has been associated with Jed-I for the five years. He conducts various hands-on workshops for both engineering students and corporate clients on topics like programming, electronics, product design, and control theory to name a few. He has also published a research paper on robotics and his research interests include circuit designing and embedded programming. His other interests include filmmaking, photography, reading books and playing outdoor games.
Scharada is a highly published author with more than 15 fiction and non-fiction books to her name. Though she writes for all ages, she has been especially popular among children and adolescents. She is a feature writer for The Wire and has produced video reports for Doordarshan. She lectured at various colleges including the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and Symbiosis College, Pune. Her essays have found recognition at various competitions and her essay 'Breathing Free' was published in an international anthology titled the Writers Net Anthology of Non-Fiction edited by Gary Kessler.
Ujjval Pamnani is aspiring to be a lifelong learner of almost about everything. If not working you will find him reading about Artificial intelligence, Social development, Human behaviour, and Neuroscience. In ASSET Summer Programme 2016, he served as a Teaching Assistant in the course Think like a Mathematician. In his current role, he is the Lead Data Scientist at Educational Initiatives Pvt. Ltd. He has done Masters in Cognitive Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, and Bachelors in Computer Engineering.
Anagh teaches Science and Biology to middle school and senior school at Rishi Valley School. Earlier, he was working as a senior educational excerpt with assessments group at Educational Initiatives. He is passionate about science education, especially biology education at school level. He was part of a research group at National Centre for Biological Science, Bangalore working on the biogeography and population genetics. His other interests include food, history, politics and philosophy.
Madhav Kaushish is currently working on his PhD in Mathematics at the University of Arizona, Tucson. He was one of the founding members of ThinQ and is actively working on their goal to get students to think like mathematicians, scientists, philosophers, etc. In 2011, Madhav founded SmarterGrades, an online, adaptive numeracy learning portal, with funding from the Ewing Marion Kauffmann Foundation. He then worked with Universal Learn Today (The educational wing of India Today) as a Curriculum Developer and Mathematics Education Specialist, and later as their Manager of Online Educational Product Development. He also worked as a consultant for UNESCO MGIEP.
Prabhakar has a M.Sc. in Chemistry from IIT Bombay and a MS (Engg) & Ph.D. (Engg) in Metallurgy from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. After working for a couple of industries for 5 years, he became an entrepreneur (something not heard of in the early 90s). He has many publications in international journals and today does Industry 4.0 and Data Analytics from the Automation systems he has been installing in large industries for the last 28 years.
His work for ITC introduced science in to the art of cooking, where he used mathematical models to improve quality of cookies. For the last 7 years he has now been a Visiting Faculty at the Department of Culinary Arts at Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration teaching the "Science of Cooking"
He is a Teacher Developer for the Royal Society of Chemistry, London and so far, has trained more than 300 teachers in innovative chemistry teaching techniques.
He is a Senior Member of the International Society for Automation, Life Member of Indian Institute of Metals and Member of Royal Society of Chemistry, London.
His other interests include socio-biology, bio-mimicry, birding and play reading apart from many similar activities. He and his wife Savita have an open house for the students in Manipal and as he says "This keeps us young and ticking".
